Terms of Service · Effective September 4, 2026
These terms form the agreement between you and TMPFox for temporary email, email alias forwarding, and delivery records. By using the service, you agree to follow the boundaries below.
Temporary addresses exist on a countdown; alias accounts use verification-code login and provide a receiving identity you can pause.
High-value accounts should not depend on short-lived addresses. You must also ensure that you have the right to receive, retain, and forward the relevant emails.
Fraud, harassment, ban evasion, bulk automation, and illegal content may trigger restrictions without advance notice.
Delivery depends on sending systems, networks, spam filtering, and receiving mailbox providers. Prepare a fallback for important tasks.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these terms. If you disagree with anything here, stop accessing and using the service.
You must also follow laws and third-party rules relating to emails you send, receive, or forward. TMPFox will not confirm whether a particular website allows temporary addresses or email aliases on your behalf.
Temporary email lets you create short-lived addresses, copy addresses, receive email, refresh the list, extend the current lifetime, change addresses, and delete individual messages. The email alias service lets you sign in with a verification code sent to your receiving mailbox, create pausable aliases, and view delivery records from the last 30 days.
The two modes serve different purposes. Temporary email is not suitable for account recovery, financial notices, or credentials that must be retained for years. Email aliases are not mailbox-hosting accounts or permanent archiving systems.
You must provide a receiving email address that you are authorized to use and are responsible for securing that mailbox and your authenticator devices. Verification codes sent to the receiving mailbox, browser login tokens, and authenticator keys must be treated as sensitive credentials.
If you suspect that access has been compromised, sign out of the workspace, clear site storage, secure your receiving mailbox, and contact support. We cannot guarantee that completed deliveries can be withdrawn when access resulted from a shared verification code, a lost device, or an unsecured receiving mailbox.
You may use the service for ordinary sign-ups, subscription management, shopping separation, development testing, and reducing unnecessary exposure, but you must respect the rights of senders, recipients, and third-party platforms. Automated access must remain at a reasonable frequency and must not bypass technical limits or consume disproportionate resources.
You may not use the service for fraud, spam, phishing, harassment, infringement, malware distribution, unauthorized monitoring, or evading law enforcement. You may not probe other users' tokens, enumerate addresses, attack interfaces, resell free capacity, or create false endorsements in the service's name.
| Feature or data | What you can expect | What you should not rely on |
|---|---|---|
| Temporary inbox | Routine receiving and manual extension during the active period | Permanent addresses, account recovery, or long-term archiving |
| Email alias | Delivery to a verified receiving destination, plus pause, resume, and deletion | Acceptance by every sender or recipient provider |
| Delivery log | Status, message content, and retry clues from the last 30 days | Legal archiving, backups, or tamper-proof audit records |
| Spam filtering | Reducing obvious abuse and dangerous email | Perfect accuracy or suitability for every preference |
| Support | Reasonable investigation of service failures and account requests | Recovery of expired random addresses or third-party accounts |
Temporary addresses may become immediately unrecoverable after expiration, replacement, or removal. Save any required verification codes or information before completing your task. Alias delivery records are retained for up to 30 days. Deleting an alias may stop future delivery but will not withdraw copies already delivered to the receiving mailbox.
You grant TMPFox a limited license to receive, scan, store, display, forward, and delete email only as necessary to provide the service. Rights in email content remain with their lawful owners; technical processing does not give us ownership.
We may set reasonable limits on request rates, alias counts, message sizes, attachment types, and delivery attempts to keep the service stable and fair. Specific limits may change with capacity, security risks, and product design, and will be described in the interface or error messages.
When request patterns indicate automated abuse, resource attacks, or attempts to evade limits, we may delay, reject, or discard the relevant traffic. To protect our systems and other users, some enforcement details may not be disclosed in full.
We work to keep the service available, but do not guarantee delivery, fixed delays, continued acceptance of an address by third parties, or permanent availability of any feature. Maintenance, network failures, upstream rejection, spam filtering, and events beyond our control may cause interruption or loss.
We may improve, replace, or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice of significant adverse changes where practicable. If you seriously or repeatedly violate these terms, or continued service creates a security or legal risk, we may immediately limit or terminate access.
Email passes through sending servers, the internet, and your receiving mailbox provider. The availability and policies of these third parties are outside TMPFox's control. Links and attachments in messages come from senders; assess their trustworthiness before opening them.
Third-party brands mentioned in the service and demonstrations are used only to illustrate common email types and do not imply partnership, endorsement, or compatibility. Accounts, purchases, and disputes between you and third-party websites are governed by their terms.
The website interface, brand elements, original copy, and service software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for normal use of webpage features, you may not copy the brand, impersonate an official service, remove rights notices, or extract interface content in bulk for competitive purposes.
You may voluntarily submit suggestions for improvement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we may use those suggestions without charge to improve the service, but doing so does not give us ownership of your email content or personal data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available," without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We do not guarantee that any third party will accept an address or that deleted or expired data can be recovered.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties, so these limitations may apply only to the extent permitted by local law. Choose a stable mailbox, maintain separate backups, or use another alternative based on the value of the account and the consequences of loss.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TMPFox is not liable for lost profits, business interruption, loss of third-party accounts, or indirect or consequential damages. For liability that cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid the service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum limit required by law.
If your unlawful use, infringing content, or breach of these terms leads to a third-party claim, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to compensate us for the resulting reasonable losses and costs. This obligation does not cover any portion caused by TMPFox's own intentional misconduct.
Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith discussion by contacting support@tmpfox.com. Governing law and venue are determined by the operator's location and mandatory consumer-protection rules. If any term is found invalid, the remaining terms remain effective, and the invalid provision will be interpreted as closely as possible to its original intent.
Updates to these terms will change the date at the top of the page, and significant changes will receive reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means that you accept the updated version. Conduct occurring before the change remains subject to the then-current text and applicable law.
Send legal notices, abuse reports, and questions about these terms to support@tmpfox.com. Include the address, time, and error details needed to locate the issue. Do not forward unnecessary complete sensitive messages; we may request additional verification when needed.
We may send notices to you through website announcements, workspace alerts, or your verified receiving mailbox. Keep your receiving destination available and check important service messages regularly.
